Berkeley Police Charge Bayville Woman With Careless Driving After Crash

Berkeley police recently issued summonses to a Bayville woman who struck a utility pole, then left the scene, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Ed Hendrickson responded to the area of Rt 9 and Harbor Inn Road at 4 a.m. on Nov. 13 on a report of a motor vehicle crash where a utility pole was struck, the chief said.

The driver fled the scene, but was later identified as Michelle Della-Pietro, 35, Harbor Inn Road. Della Pietro was issued summonses for careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident, DiMichele said.
