Firefighter descends abandoned well to rescue dog
Authorities in northeast Iowa have rescued a dog that fell into an abandoned well.The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is looking for the owners of the brown dog that was pulled from the 8-foot well Wednesday.Homeowner Christina Edmonds tells KCRG-TV that she called authorities after she heard barking echoing out of the well, which is partially boarded up and no longer used. A firefighter descended the well and hoisted the dog out of it.The animal is being cared for by the Oelwein Veterinarian Clinic.

Authorities in northeast Iowa have rescued a dog that fell into an abandoned well.
